The information on this page is for those attending one of our clinics as a participant. If you are planning on attending as an auditor, please see our Auditors page for detail and price information. WHAT YOUR CLASS FEE INCLUDES FOR YOU A full day (or two) of learning, of course! We will have beverages and snacks available throughout the class. For the two day classes, we will have a welcome and get-acquainted dinner on Friday evening. We will also provide breakfast, lunch, and dinner Saturday; breakfast and lunch on Sunday. For the one day classes, we will provide breakfast and lunch on Saturday.
WHAT YOUR CLASS FEE INCLUDES FOR YOUR HORSE Excellent training, of course! Your horse will have his/her own stall for the entire class.
WHAT IT DOES NOT INCLUDE An overnight place for you (so, see “Accommodations”.) At this time, we will not be able to accommodate special dietary requirements and/or restrictions for people – the food provided will be customary fare. Please bring hay for your horse and also a water bucket. If your horse requires grain or other supplements, it is up to you to bring those along and also to give them to your horse.
CLASS FEE Two day class is $250, one day class is $125. Payment in full is due two weeks before start of class. Class will consist of three to eight people and their horses, and will fill on a first-come/first-served basis. Payments are non-refundable. If you have to cancel once paid, you may apply your payment in full to another class within the next year.
WHAT WE PROMISE We promise to do our best for you and your horse! We specialize in resistance-free training, from the ground up, and you will learn how to work effectively with your horse. We promise to treat you with respect, in an environment that is safe (first of all), fun, and effective. We will treat all your information in a confidential manner and not give nor sell it to anyone (unless you wish to share a room, in which case we will provide your contact information only.)
COGGINS For safety reasons, we require negative Coggins paperwork on your horse. Please send a copy along with your registration, if you have it. Alternatively, you may bring it when you come on the first day, but without it we can not admit you in to class.
REMINDERS ON WHAT TO BRING The use of a helmet is encouraged; bring yours if you have one. Shoes/boots with heels are also highly recommended. Please bring appropriate clothing and sunscreen – consider the weather, as we may spend much of our time outdoors. Of course, bring necessary trail riding tack, halter, lead rope, etc. We allow still cameras, but please, no video cameras. If you want to take notes, bring a notebook and pen. Please bring hay, feed, and a water bucket for your own horse. We will provide training equipment for you to use in class.
Here are some hotels nearby (within half an hour):
If you prefer camping, there is an option for that as well:
If you wish to share a room with another student, we will provide contact information (phone number and/or email) with another student – just let us know.
